Never heard of The National Monument to the Founding Fathers? Go watch Kirk Cameron's movie "Monumental." You won't regret it.

Cape Cod
I know Cape Cod doesn't appeal to most people in January, but we had a chance to go this last weekend (thanks Papa & Grammy!), so we took it, and loved it! It was cold and windy, but bundled up in our snow clothes we didn't care! We played and played on the beaches, it wasn't crowded, and it was super awesome because sand doesn't stick to snow clothes! We ate lots of seafood, visited an aquarium, and also stopped to see Plymouth Rock. Plymouth Rock was a huge disappointment for me. I've been wanting to see it for a long time and it just wasn't the experience I had imagined. However, we did see the National Monument to the Founding Fathers, which is just up the road from Plymouth Rock, and that was very cool, very impressive! Anyway, here's the pictures from our trip!

You have had one busy holiday season! Glad to see you are getting out and really enjoying the east coast!!
It sure looks like you guys had fun! Glad you could go. What a smart mommy you were to take all the snow clothes...it was perfect. I love be on the shorelines anytime of year...better still when you are dressed for the occasion. Yes, Plymouth rock is the greatest singular disappointment for anyone who has longed to see where our forefathers landed! But as you probably discovered...they didn't even land their first! What a farce and a disappointment...but you did get to the REAL first landing in Provincetown. So happy you could go stay in Grammy and Papa's hotel ;)
