Somehow, I managed to lose all of our 4th of July photos, but this one. I was making red, white, and blue rice krispy treats for our 4th of July party, but quickly realized what I'd actually made was the French flag. Oops!
Ten years ago we were at a garage sale in Ohio and John bought a kayak paddle. I didn't understand why since we didn't have a kayak, but he insisted and as many times as I've tried to throw it out John has battled in defense of the paddle and it has remained. Finally, after 10 years John bought a kayak to go with his paddle.
Q had his tonsil removed. He was all smiles in pre-op.
Coming out of anesthesia is the worst : (
Grandma Rosie sent him a super soft blanket and pillow to comfort him during his recovery.
He's feeling much better now and is recovering well!
Andra came to OKC for a conference and we got to spend time with her in the evenings playing games and catching up on each other's lives. So fun to have her all to ourselves!
Road trip to the Salt Plains with Chex
While the kids were with Grandma and Grandpa, John and I spent the week in Colorado.

We stayed in a yurt on the Platte River!

Super comfy king size bed in the yurt!

Estes Park & Rocky Mtn National Park
Road construction in the park caused us to be in an hour long traffic jam at 12,000 feet. Many people were getting out of their cars and walking around, so John and Chex got out too. As fate would have it, traffic started moving and they had to run to catch up to me in the car. Watching them try to run at 12,000 feet was pretty entertaining.😅
