Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park

Driving to Maine on Friday night it was nice and cold!  Cold enough that I was taking pictures each time the temperature dropped outside thinking it couldn't get any colder, but I was wrong!
Wait for it . . . 21 below zero!  Burrrrrr!  That's cold!
Who's crazy enough to go on vacation when it's that cold?
That's right.  We are!
An icy winter wonderland!
To give the kids a break from being in the car, we tried to find a place to go sledding, but couldn't find a hill without a ton of trees.  So we ended up pulling the kids on the sled behind the car.  This turned out to be a highlight of our trip!  I think John and I had as much fun as the kids!
Sorry the pictures aren't great, but our photographer is seven and didn't think to move the shopping bags : )

One of my other favorites from our trip was when Gabe kept calling the buoys in the harbor "boobies."  Love this kid!
Maine was cold, but beautiful!  We sure enjoyed our time playing, resting, and relaxing!  Maybe next time we visit it'll be a little warmer : )

The pictures look great! Maybe one of these times we can get you to a beach when its actually beach weather! But then you won't have the beach to yourselves...it's a toss up. Glad you could enjoy it the resort in spite of the cold. The sleigh riding looks like a riot! You guys are always creative in making the best of a trip! Hugs XOXO
