We Need Emma!

Oh, hello.  Yes we are still alive, we've just been vacationing.  So get ready for vacation blog overload in the next few days : )

We were so lucky to have Emma with us in New York for four weeks this summer just after Quentin was born.  She adored the baby and took great care of him!  She was also a huge help with Gabe and Porter.  Here's a few fun pictures from her trip.

I sent the following text to my mom the day after Emma got here:
"It's noon and Emma is still sleeping.  Is this normal behavior or should I check to see if she is still breathing?"
Apparently it's normal . . .

Not only did Emma stay and help us at home, but she drove to Utah with us.  36 hours in the car and she sat in the back seat taking care of the boys the whole time!  We noticed just how much help Emma was once we were in Utah and she wasn't with us all of the time.  One afternoon we were in the car and Quentin was crying, I told the kids they were just going to have to listen to him cry until we got where we were going.  It was then that Gabe screamed, "WE NEED EMMA!!!"

We love you Emma and are sure going to miss you!
