It has been so fun to have my Mom and Carly here the last two weeks. Gabe's had a ball having Carly around to play with and I have thoroughly enjoyed my Mom's company. Here are some highlights from their visit:
1) Gabe locking himself in our house: this involved a lot of tears and screaming (from both me and Gabe), a brave neighbor with a ladder, and a second story window. Enough said?
2) Visiting Young's Dairy Farm: one of Dayton's top tourist attractions. We had fun feeding the goats and seeing the newborn baby farm animals.
3) Trip to St. Louis to visit the Mortensen family: we enjoyed seeing the St. Louis Zoo and just spending time with the Mortensen family. Gabe especially loved their dog Kitty.
4) Touring Frank Lloyd Wright's Westcott House in Springfield, OH.
5) Celebrating 6 Years. John and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on May 1st. My Mom was very sweet to stay home with the kids so John and I could go out and celebrate. We had dinner at Outback Steakhouse and then we went and saw a movie. It was soooo nice to have some alone time and not have to worry about Gabe! THANKS MOM!!!
6) Wearing the kids out! Check out how Carly fell asleep on her last night here. . .
