St. George 2017

We made a whirlwind trip to St. George for a fun Barton family reunion!

We got to meet our new niece/cousin Mazie for the first time!

Lots of swimming and playing with cousins!
Porter doing flips off the rocks : )

Watching Beauty & the Beast
 Sand Hollow
Porter came home with a nice case of swimmer's itch from here : (

Seriously, the best part of the trip, just being with the people we love!

And by the way, this is what you look like if you run, and you fall, and you catch yourself with your face.

The End.

Another pin in the map

I don't like going on a trip and not being able to put a pin in our travel map, so we made a point of stopping to see Horseshoe Bend and Glen Canyon Dam on our way to St. George.   Both were amazing, but Horseshoe Bend about did me in!  It was super crowded and I was so nervous about the kids being on the edge of a cliff with no guardrail.  Honestly, can't say it was a lot of fun, but we saw it.  I read online that they are putting up safety rails . . . maybe I'll enjoy it more next time when I'm not imagining my kids falling to their deaths.  Lucky for them, they have a great daddy, who took them one at a time to look over the edge while I had a panic attack and lost at least 10 years off my life due to stress: )

End of the School Year!

Gabe finished 4th Grade
He made the honor roll, completed the principal's challenge, and became a millionaire. (Read over 1 million words this school year.)
Porter finished 2nd grade & will be moving from the elementary school to the intermediate school!
Outside of Porter's classroom all the kids had written how they felt about moving on to another school.  Here's what our sentimental child wrote . . .
Quentin is an official Pre-K graduate!
End of the year fun : )
On the last day of school it's become our family tradition to kick off summer with milkshakes!
We's excited to get this summer started!
