Boston Red Sox Game

A few weeks ago, Gabe and I met up with Taylor and Amanda in Boston to go to a Red Sox game.  We had dinner at a sports bar before the game with about 1,000 of our closest friends all ready to cheer on the Red Sox!  Unfortunately, the Red Sox lost, but hey, we still had fun!
FENWAY PARK!!!

The Sacred Grove

Living in New York we have had many opportunities to visit the Sacred Grove.  This was probably our last trip there.  I made a point of getting a picture of the boys in The Sacred Grove this trip, because I hope they will always remember these visits.  There is a special spirit that can be felt in this grove of trees, it's one of the few places on earth God our Father has appeared with his Son, Jesus Christ.  We can't always visit The Sacred Grove, but because of what happened there and the events that followed no matter where we life takes us we can always have that same spirit to guide and direct us, to bring us peace, comfort, and answers to our prayers.
To learn more about what we believe you can visit Mormon.org or just click here.
I may have put one of these toads down Taylor's pants and not just his pants, but underwear.  There was definite skin to toad contact . .  and some funny dancing : )  Aren't sisters awesome?!

Dump Time : )

Time again to dump some random stuff from my phone.

If one is good, two must be better!
I think this is 100% creepy.
These boys were either REALLY dirty or someone dumped an entire bottle of "bath colors" into the tub.
We found this cute little guy in our yard.
Look, I found the perfect place to carry a baby bunny : )
Thanks to Quentin, I pulled all of this out from underneath my treadmill belt.  I have to do a careful check every time I use it.  We pulled an entire birdhouse out once.  Not just from underneath the treadmill, but from under the belt!  I kid you not, he shoved an entire Home Depot DIY birdhouse under there!
My kids all love to pick dandelions and give them to me.
Porter thinks they are my favorite flower : )
The Q-man checkin' out downtown Albany.
My boys (all 4 of them) are so good to me.  This is my Mother's Day breakfast in bed : )
And since we're on the subject of breakfast in bed, I know I've told many of you this story, but I don't think I've posted it on the blog and I need to before I forget.  One morning Gabe came into my room and I told him I wasn't getting out of bed yet because I wasn't feeling very well.  Gabe told me he would bring me breakfast in bed to help me feel better.  He brought me a banana and a Diet Coke!  Does my son know me or what?!

Look, Who's Two!

Our little Quentin monster turned two years old!  Wow, the time has flown!  At two, he is still a mama's boy through and through, but don't think that doesn't make him tough.  For being such a little guy (only 18 lbs. and yes, you can clearly see every one of his ribs) he can play rough and tumble with the big boys!  He is a constant trouble maker, so it's a good thing he's so dang cute or else he may not have survived until his second birthday ; )  We all absolutely adore him and can't imagine life without our "Quentiny Quentin."
Quentin ate his cake and wore it too : )

You Tell Me . . .

Quentin's facial expressions sometimes catch me off guard.  It's like I've seen them somewhere before... So, you tell me . . . do you see it too?

Gabe's Track Meet

Gabe's school has an annual "track meet."  You know, the kind where everyone gets a ribbon : )  Well, Gabe was very excited about this!  So Taylor, Amanda, and I waited for an hour while the rain to passed in order to watch Gabe run for all of 10 seconds, but those 10 seconds were important to him and that's what matters.

Gabe is on the far right.
Check out that starting position ; )
Gabe is a great runner, but he struggles running on a track like this.  (He gets too focused on watching how the kids next to him are doing.)  And let's face it, he was never going to take first place running next to Jesse Owens!  But, he still got his ribbon for running and we know what we need to . . . oh, look! a squirrel . . . work on when it comes to running track : )  Eyes forward.
Great running Gabe!

The Mastadon Challenge

A few weeks ago our family ran in The Cohoes Mastadon Challenge.  It started out rainy, but turned into a beautiful day in spite of the naked woman watching the kid's race from her bedroom window : )
Both Gabe and Porter participated in the kids' races.  Gabe even took first place in one of the races!

John was a trooper and pushed the jogging stroller for the 5K : )  Sorry honey, no trophies for first across the finish line with a stroller : (

I'm super proud of Gabe for finishing his first 5K!  It was a tough course with some nasty hills, but he did super!

Afterwards, we went to lunch at Red Robin which completely cancelled out any of the positive health benefits of our run : )  Great way to spend our Saturday together!
