Saturday for my birthday we spent a much needed day together as a family.  We went to the White Mountains in New Hampshire to do some hiking and see the beautiful fall leaves!

GABE-ISMS

Gabe: Mom, did they have electricity when you were a baby?
Me: Yes!  I'm not that old!
Gabe:  What about when Daddy was a baby?
Me:  Nope.  No electricity back then.


Gabe: (I overheard him singing this while playing alone in the basement.  I couldn't help but laugh!  Thank you Dr. Doofenshmirtz!)"I found a brand new best friend and it's me!  I found a brand new best friend and it's me!"  

Gabe:  Daddy why is it important for us to learn about the Silverware?  
Daddy:  Do you mean the Civil War?
Gabe:  Yes.

Gabe:  I know what hairstyle the guy has on the 50 cent piece.
Me:  What?
Gabe:  A mohawk.
Me:  I seriously doubt it.  
(So we get on the computer and pull up a picture of a 50 cent piece.  And let's just say that I'll never look at 50 cent piece again without thinking that JFK has a mohawk : )

PORTER-ISMS

Porter: (sitting on the potty)  I need some private property.
Daddy: What?
Porter:  I said, I need some PRIVATE PROPERTY!
Daddy:  Do you mean privacy?
Porter:  YES!


Porter:  (praying)  I'm thankful for Mommy, Daddy and Quentin.  I'm thankful for Mighty Machines that can build buildings so fast your head will explode.  I'm thankful for monster trucks that can crush our car when it gets old.  Please help the dinosaurs not to eat us . . . Amen.

 Porter is starting Pre-K this year!

Gabe is a 1st grader!

And they both started soccer!
