The Big Apple

Saturday we took Emma and the kids into New York City to do some sightseeing.  Other than a child taking on the theatrical role of Captain Grumpy Pants, we had a good day.  We spent a huge portion of the day nursing and taking potty breaks and when we actually got around to seeing stuff there was a lot of whining and crying and attitude coming from the Captain about his dire need for ice cream or whatever other gripe he chose to be the flavor of the hour.  However, by some stroke of luck El Capitano survived the day without his mom or dad throwing him off The Empire State Building and amazingly I think Emma enjoyed seeing the city in spite having Captain Grumpy Pants as part of our tour group.

Emma's Here!

We get to have this cute girl stay with us for the next month!  The boys are having a ball playing with her and I am loving all the extra help.  I'm already dreading having her go home : (
It's going to be a fun month with Miss Emma here!

Norman Rockwell Museum

We spent today in Stockbridge, Masassachusets at the Norman Rockwell Museum.

"Grown up" museums are always hard with kids, but we gave Gabe a camera and taking pictures really helped to keep him happy and occupied in the museum.  Here's some of the shots he took.
Today was also our last day with Papa and Grammy.  Grammy has been here for almost two weeks now.  She's been such a big help with the kids and around the house, I'm sure going to miss her!  We love you Papa and Grammy, thanks for coming to visit!

Quack! Quack!

I came home from taking Quentin to the pediatrician yesterday to find everyone sacked out in the front room.  We've had a busy week, and I think we're all worn out!

My dad got into town late last night and met Quentin.
He will only be here for two days, so today we got busy making the most of his time here.  First stop, the Albany Aqua Duck Tour!

Two little duckies excited to go for a ride.
Quentin gets some Papa time before we get on board.
Did I mention they gave us duck whistles???

Porter checking out the view on the Hudson River.
I got to sit with the cutest duck on the boat!
We love our Papa & Grammy ducks!
Quack!  Quack!
