4th of July

We LOVE the 4th of July in Oklahoma!  Our neighborhood sounds like a combat zone all weekend.  It's pretty awesome.  Nothing feels more American than lighting stuff on fire in your swim suit.

 

Little Red Wagon

Quentin went through a phase earlier this year where his favorite song was "Little Red Wagon" by Miranda Lambert.  He would play it no less than ten times a day, I kid you not.  And he would dance to it.  Oh the dancing!!!  Never had a single lesson : D

June 2016

My sweet sister Emma came to spend the month of June with us!  She even took on the task of watching the boys while I went to Girls Camp for a week!  She's pretty awesome : )  She even did my dishes and folded my laundry, did I mention she's awesome?  It was so much fun having her with us this month!

I think the boys may have had just a little too much fun with Emma around : )

Our last baseball tournament of the season!

We went to a magic show at our library and Porter was chosen as one of the magician's assistants.

We have a chicken with bumble foot. John whipped out the razor blade and performed some surgery on this poor girl.  

We spent a day swimming in the creek in Sulphur, OK with our friends the Garretts.   A new summer tradition for sure!

Oklahoma Land Run Monument 

 We booked a room at Cracked in Norman for a fun family night.  It's a game where they "lock" you in a room and you have to figure out how to escape by solving puzzles and clues within the room.  It was so much fun to do it as a family and the employees at Cracked were awesome!  We solved the first one in 26 minutes (you have an hour) so they let us do another room for free, which we also solved by the way : )  

I know there's not a whole lot to do in Oklahoma, but watching parking meters expire is pretty pathetic.

We went to the National Reigning Horse competition and watched a few events.  It made me miss riding so much!!!  Pretty cool to see the look on my kids faces when I told them I used to do this.  Wait, what?  Mom had a life and did stuff before us???

Another busy, but super fun month!  Emma we loved having you here and we had an absolute blast with you!
