Turkey Day 2012

Let the cooking begin!
My kids are such wienies about getting their hands dirty, you'd think they were girls!  It was still fun having them in the kitchen helping me cook.  We made turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, turkey balls, and sweet potato casserole.  Then it was over the river and through the woods to pick up the sister missionaries and head to the Cluff's house.  For the rest of the day we enjoyed lots and lots of yummy food, good company, and fun games.

Here's all the kids ready to dig into their Thanksgiving dinner!
Gabe found his match made in heaven ... a girl who plays chess!

Porter seriously spent all day playing with this train.  I think we might have to get one for our tree.
I think even the missionaries had fun : )
Porter and Ryder watch a little Charlie Brown after a long day of playing.
The big kids played games until it was time to go home.
Thanks Nelson and Valerie for having us over!  We had a great Thanksgiving!  Gobble. Gobble.

Misc. Picture Dump

Big Foot finally held still long enough for me to take his picture.
Porter the Clown
Porter Trick or Treating at the Library
Trick or Treating at the Senior Citizen Center.  This was awesome!  The kids got candy and most of the residents enjoyed seeing the kids.  The Ninja Turtle is one of Gabe's friends from school.
I think he knows he's good lookin!
I told the kids to put on warm clothes if they wanted to play outside . . . this is what I got.
Somedays I'd rather go to sleep than do the dishes.  Apparently Porter feels the same way.  Only difference is I usually make it to my bed.
This was Gabe's idea, and probably not his best one.
A helmet, finally a child with some sense!

Gabe is 6 Years Old!

My sister sent Gabe a super hero costume for his birthday, only problem was, it was wrapped inside of a cereal box.  She knows Gabe HATES cold cereal.  He doesn't even like to be in the same room as it.  He saw the box and wouldn't even open it to see what his present really was!  Poor kid has a serious cereal phobia.  I love his facial expressions in these pictures . . . so funny!
Luck for him, he got more than just cold cereal!
Happy Birhtday Gabe!

Yellow Belt!

Last night Gabe tested for his yellow belt.  He was nervous since this was the first time he's tested.  He knew he had to break a board and that kind of psyched him out, but he did great!

Porter kept saying, "Where's Candace?"
Sorry Porter, I only had 3 pumpkins in me this year.
Can't wait until the kids can carve their own, but in the mean time I'll admit I really enjoy this : )
